Dophins

We had a fantastic time in Portugal. The highlight was going to see wild dolphins and we were very lucky to see over 40 of these graceful creatures hunting. More in my Flickr stream.

I love browsing Flickr. This gallery by design website Graphicology caught my eye. The photos compare how logos in products get translated to Arabic and it’s all very clever to be honest. To match the look and feel of a well-known design but in a different language isn’t the easiest of tasks. My brother Jamal does this for Artobrand, his design company.

The 7up logo in Arabic is a direct phonetic translation, where the UP is set in the 7 formation and SEVEN is the style of the English UP.
